How Group-Funded Requests Work on ReallyYou

July 27, 2026 · ReallyYou

The request is the heart of ReallyYou. Here's exactly how one works, from the first idea to pressing play.

Step 1: Describe the video you want

A good request reads like a brief. You specify:

  • The scenario, in your own words — the setting, the outfit, the words, the vibe. As specific as you like.
  • Tags — so the right creators (and the right fans) find it.
  • The creator type — describe who should film it.
  • The length — for example 5–10 minutes.
  • Your stake — the money you personally put on it. Requests open from $15; putting more down makes your request more visible and more attractive to creators from day one.

Your request is public. That's the point — it needs to be findable by fans who want the same thing and by creators who could film it.

Step 2: Others back it — the pot grows

Anyone who wants the same video can add their own money to your request. This is where group funding changes the economics of custom content:

  • Solo commissions put the entire price on one person.
  • On ReallyYou, a request that starts at $25 can end up with a pot of hundreds or thousands, backed by many fans — and every backer gets to unlock the finished video with the money they put in.

A growing pot does something else too: it recruits creators. Creators can see live which requests have real money behind them, so the more a request grows, the more likely it is to get answered — and answered by more than one creator.

Step 3: Creators answer while the request is open

There's no "waiting for the clock to run out." Creators answer whenever they want while the request is live:

  • A creator films the video and publishes a trailer — a public preview anyone can watch.
  • More trailers can follow from other creators. One request, several takes on it.
  • Each trailer pulls in more fans, whose money pulls in more creators. That's the snowball.

Step 4: Unlock and watch

The moment a trailer convinces you, you unlock the full video with the money you already put on the request. You watched a preview first, so there are no blind buys — you know what you're unlocking.

Didn't back the request while it was running? The video doesn't disappear: creators' answers stay on their profiles as pay-per-view, so you can still buy access afterwards.

What it costs

Joining ReallyYou is free. You only pay when you put money on a request, order an offer, or unlock a video — and creators set their own prices. Refunds follow our Refund Policy: once you've unlocked and watched a video, sales are final, except when you couldn't access it, we removed it, or it materially misrepresents what was described.

Try it from day one

ReallyYou is in closed beta, opening to the waitlist first, with public launch targeted for Q4 2026. Waitlist members get 10% off their first unlock, and we personally match early requests with the creators who fit them best.
